Wandsworth GP Federation (WGPF) highly values all feedback, whether it be positive comments, concerns or complaints, regarding its services and actions. Complaints can be submitted either verbally or in writing. All information is kept confidential and shared only with those involved in addressing the complaint. If necessary, consent will be obtained to share details with relevant parties outside WGPF.
Feedback can be provided on behalf of someone else if the person has their written consent or delegated authority. Raising concerns will not impact the services provided or received. All feedback is used to drive improvement activities.
Complaints should be raised as soon as possible after an issue arises, but no later than 12 months after the incident or when the complainant became aware of it. If a complaint is outside these timescales or is anonymous, WGPF will assess whether it can be thoroughly and fairly investigated.
Complaints will be acknowledged within 3 working days of receipt. If you submit a written complaint, you will be offered a follow-up telephone call to help the complaints handler better understand the issue. WGPF aims to resolve complaints as quickly and effectively as possible, typically within 25 working days of receipt.
While we strive to resolve complaints satisfactorily, if you are not satisfied with the response or the handling of your complaint, you may contact the Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman for an independent review.
