The Wandsworth Provider Alliance is a newly established initiative to improve health and care services throughout Wandsworth. It brings together a range of organisations that deliver health and social care in the borough, transforming how we work together to meet the needs of local people.
What is the Wandsworth Provider Alliance?
The Wandsworth Provider Alliance came into existence on 1st April 2025. It is a partnership between primary care providers, NHS trusts, the local council, and community / voluntary groups. Rather than creating a new organisation, existing providers have committed to working together collaboratively to improve services for people in Wandsworth.
Wandsworth GP Federation is excited to be hosting and taking an active role in the work of the Alliance, making sure that our GP practices and other primary care colleagues are fully involved in shaping future services and delivering improvements for local patients.
How it will work?
The Alliance will bring service providers together to focus on a number of key themes and projects. These include:
- Improving health outcomes: Ensuring high-quality, patient-focused care.
- Reducing inequalities: Addressing disparities in healthcare access and service provision.
- Enhancing efficiency: Streamlining resources and collaboration among service providers
- Supporting economic and social development: Ensuring that healthcare improvements contribute to broader community well-being.

The next steps for the Alliance include agreeing priorities for action and ensuring we make early progress in redesigning services in key areas, including neighbourhood health and care, intermediate care and urgent community response services.
